THORIM RIGNEY RABJAMPA (Bachelor of Tibetan Studies - BA) in Tibetan Language and Literature - this is divided into 4 main areas: Tibetan Grammar, History, Poetry and Buddhist Studies and Logic. Besides basic education in Computer and English as second language are also offered.
This degree course is recognized and affiliated to the Department of Education, CTA. Every student must take an entrance examination conducted in May first week to get admission. Any Tibetan who deems his/her Tibetan language proficiency is good can appear for the entrance examination without producing any degree certificate.
Those candidates who cleared the examination with minimum of 40 marks out of 100 marks in each subject shall qualify to attend this three year course. However, every year the number of seat for the direct enrolment to Bachelor of Tibetan studies varies.(Click here for Detail Syallabi)
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR BA Tibetan - 2008-09 SESSION:
Admission into the BA in Tibetan Studies (Thorim Rigney Rabjampa) is based on entrance examination (Tibetan grammar, history, poetry, Buddhism, Dagyig and handwriting) conducted in MAY FIRST WEEK every year. Announcement of admission into Tsamjor is announced through Bod-Kyi-Dus-Bab or Tibet Times newsletter in March first week every year.
A candidate passing the entrance examination is qualified to apply for DoE scholarship through the college. Students are required to maintain good academic record to renew the scholarship.
College will look for sponsorships for those students who could not get DoE scholarship.

- Application seeking admission with brief bio-data
- 2 recent passport size photographs
- Photo copy of updated R.C.
- Photo copy of updated Green Book
- Complete Postal address with Contact numbers and e-mail address
All the 2008 entrance candidates should report to the college by May 1 2008 before 4:00 P.M.
Please bring Rupees 250/- for entrance/Lodging/Food Fee and Cup/Mug/Blanket during your stay at the college.
