TSAMJOR CLASS (Bridge course in Tibetan language and literature) is specially designed for Tibetan students having passed class XII in India with minimum of 40 marks in Tibetan. This course is offered exclusively to prepare them for the Bachelor of Tibetan studies program. Students without good background in basic Tibetan skills may find it difficult when they join the Bachelor of Tibetan studies. The only way to get admission into this course is by appearing for an entrance examination in May first week. Tibetan grammar, lexicography, moral education, history, poetry, Buddhism and calligraphy will be taught in this class.
A student having passed or waiting for the class XII result are eligible to apply for this one year program. Please note that he/she must apply separately for the Bachelor of Tibetan studies program at the year end and clear the entrance examination to get admission.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR TSAMJOR STUDENTS - 2009-10 SESSION:
Admission to the College for Higher Tibetan Studies is based on entrance examination conducted in MAY FIRST WEEK every year. Announcement of admission into Tsamjor is announced through Bod-Kyi-Dus-Bab or Tibet Times newsletter in March first week every year. Tsamjor students will have to arrange for their college fees. Monthly fees is Rs. 2000/- Requirements for Tsamjor applicants
